BREITENBACH crushing rolls enhance the efficiency and profitability of various production processes in several respects. On the one hand, maintenance intervals are significantly extended without affecting reliability. Design
 BREITENBACH rolls are available in any desired dimension and design to suit all types of equipment. They meet the most exacting demands regarding TIR, surface finish and geometry.
Depending on the type of roll stand, the rolls may be provided with shrunk-in or bolted-on journals or with journals designed as an integral continuous axle. On request, the
journals may also be provided with a bore, e.g. for connection to a cooling circuit. The bearing seats are ground either cylindrically or conically,
depending on customers' requirements.

The rolls are manufactured and processed to customers' specifications. Semi-finished rolls with pre-machined journals or just blanks are 1lso available.
Materials
As a roll manufacturer with its own foundry, BREITENBACH is able to offer rolls manufactured by static casting or spin casting, made from various materials, i.e.:
- chilled cast iron (single poured)
- chilled cast iron (compound casting)
- special self-surfacing TM (indefinite chill) cast iron
- highly wear resistant TCBR Marathon cast iron
Besides the well proved TR- and TB- chilled cast iron grades the special materials of the TM and TCBR groups developed by BREITENBACH allow further improvement in the grinding results. In flour, meal and oil mills,
they provide significantly better results in respect of yield and product quality, at the same time enhancing economic efficiency.
The TCBR marathon grades used for corrugated rolls are characterized by high hardness and high resistance to wear combined with excellent toughness. As compared with rolls made
from chilled cast iron, the TCBR-roll is subject to less and especially to more uniform wear, which means consistent high quality of the crashed product and a significantly extended lifetime for the corrugation.
The TM-grades used for smooth- and flaking rolls guarantee almost uniform hardness over the cross section of the roll. Their self-surfacing roll body
excellently adapts itself to the product to be ground, which yields outstanding feeding capacity, and therefore higher product quality and more efficient
grinding.
Machining
 Maximum precision is the basic principle according to which all BREITENBACH rolls are manufactured. Advanced CNC machines ensure high-precision processing throughout the complete manufacturing process. Journals and roll bodies are processed with high precision, in accordance with customer's specification. The roll surface may be:
- ground
- corrugated
- shot-blasted
The quality of the surface finish is guaranteed by our long experience and expertise in the precise processing of rolls.
